Wintrust Field
Located 35 minutes northwest of Dominican University's River Forest campus, Wintrust Field has been home to the Dominican University baseball team since 2008.
Built in 1999, Wintrust Field was built to the exact same dimensions of Wrigley Field, the historic ballpark that is home to the Chicago Cubs. The playing surface was overhauled in 2011 with the help of famed groundskeeper Roger Bossard. Bossard, who has been responsible for as many as 12 MLB field installations, oversaw the three-week long process of installing a new surface and laid new sod throughout the process.
With a capacity of 7,365 fans, Wintrust Field features fixed seating for 5,665 and includes 16 luxury suites and seating for 200 in left field. An additional 900 fans can be accommodated in the lawn area down both the left and right field lines.
In addition to the playing field and seating, Wintrust Field features a state-of-the-art Daktronics video board and a clubhouse for Dominican's baseball team.
Please note that pets are not permitted inside Wintrust Field.
