River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team picked up a 3-1 win over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors on Tuesday. The Stars dominated possession from start to finish, outshooting their Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) counterpart 20-0 in the first half and 32-4 on the game.

The Stars' Plamen Pamukov (Addison, IL) tallied his first-career hat trick. Pamukov's first two goals came just 51 seconds apart as the 6'1" junior notched back-to-back goals in the game's 39th and 40th minutes to give the Stars a 2-0 lead.

Pamukov then extended the Stars' lead to 3-0 in the 66th minute with his fifth goal of the season. In 58 games over the last three seasons, Pamukov has 28 career goals and 31 career assists and has twice been named to the NSCAA All-Central Region Team, earning second team honors as a freshman and first team honors in 2006 as a sophomore.

The Warriors' lone goal of the game came in the 87th minute off one of the Warriors' three corner kicks and only corner kick of the second half. The Stars held an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks for the game.

The Stars will travel to DePere, Wis. on Sunday to take on the St. Norbert College Green Knights in non-conference action. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The Stars return to NAC play next week, hosting neighborhood rival Concordia University Chicago on Wednesday, October 17 for a 3:00 p.m. game.
