River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's soccer program picked up a 3-1 win over Millikin University on Saturday in non-conference action. The Stars' Mayra Camacho (Summit, IL) netted what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute to propel the Stars to their seventh victory of the season.

The Millikin Big Blue struck first, netting their lone goal of the game in the third minute. The Stars' Dana Dalrymple (Chicago, IL) answered with her first goal of the season in the 17th minute to even the score at 1-1. Camacho then tallied her 15th score of the season to give Dominican a 2-1 advantage. Rosa Andreuccetti (Elmhurst, IL) added an insurance goal in the 64th minute to put the Stars ahead 3-1 and that is the way the game would end.

Goalkeeper Jacqui Lani (Green Bay, WI) picked up the win for the Stars. The 5'6" sophomore goalkeeper logged nine saves in the contest, allowing just one goal and lowering her goals against average to 1.84 on the season.

The Stars return to action on Wednesday, traveling to Lake Forest College for a 3:00 p.m. contest. The Stars then return to Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) action on Saturday, October 20 as they host MSOE for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff on Dominican's West Campus Field.
