The Dominican University volleyball program picked up its third Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) victory of the season with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-15, 30-24) over the Alverno College Inferno.
Freshman sensation Darcy Kammeier (Kirkwood, MO) racked up double-digit kills for the 16th consecutive match and eclipsed the 300-kill plateau for the season with a game-high 13 kills in the winning effort the Stars.
Sophomore Anka Niemczewska (Vernon Hills, IL) dished out 29 assists and logged a team-high 13 digs for Dominican as well, while freshman Michael Ann Kelly (Dwight, IL) and Kammeier each tallied double-digit digs with 11 digs and 10 digs respectively. Kelly also added a game-high four aces.
Dominican improved its overall record to 7-16 on the season and 3-6 in the NAC with three regular season conference matches remaining. The Stars return to NAC action on Friday as they travel to Aurora University for a 7:00 p.m. and then return home for the final home match of the 2007 season as they host Benedictine University on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in Dominican's Igini Sports Forum.
