Box Score

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team remained unbeaten in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play with a 3-0 win over Concordia University (WI) on Saturday.

Dominican's Elvin Perez (Chicago, IL), a senior defender for the Stars, notched his second game-winning goal of the season, scoring the game's first goal in the 41st minute of play.

The Stars' Mark Golik (Mt. Prospect, IL) and Jose Ramirez (Chicago, IL) added insurance goals for the Stars in the second half. Golik's goal came in the 60th minute as junior Matt Kochanowski (Arlington Heights, IL) carried the ball up field before feeding Plamen Pamukov just outside the box. Pamukov drew the Falcons' goalkeeper out of the net and promptly slid the ball to a streaking Golik who placed the ball into the open net.

Ramirez's goal came in the 80th minute as he one-timed a ball that had been popped out of the Concordia box.

The win improved the Stars' overall record to 10-2-1 and 6-0-1 in the NAC after settling for a 1-1 tie with Aurora University earlier in the week on Dominican's home field. The Stars will continue play on Tuesday as they host Wisconsin Lutheran College for a 4:00 p.m. game on Dominican's West Campus Field. The Stars will then travel to De Pere, Wis. for a non-conference match up with St. Norbert College before wrapping up the NAC regular season the following week with Concordia University Chicago and MSOE.
