River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's tennis program improved to 4-3 overall and 4-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) with a 7-2 win at Aurora University on Wednesday afternoon.

The Stars began the match with a clean sweep of doubles play. Seniors Eileen Shanahan (New Lenox, IL) and Bozana Durman (Cicero, IL) won a hard-fought match as the Stars' number one doubles team, defeating the Spartans' number one team 9-7. The win was the pair's fourth win as a doubles combination this season and they have posted a 13-3 record as a doubles team since last fall.

Shanahan and Durman were both victorious in singles play as well at number two and three singles respectively. Seniors Molly Nolan (Shorewood, IL) and Erika Corona (Cicero, IL) were each victorious in singles competition as the number five and six singles competitors respectively.

The Stars will return to the courts for two matches on Saturday as they host Lakeland College and Marian College in NAC play.
