River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University men's soccer team traveled to North Park University, ranked 12th in the nation by D3Kicks.com, with a five-game winning streak on the line and emerged victorious thanks to a second half goal by junior Matt Kochanowski (Arlington Heights, IL).

Kochanowski's goal, his ninth goal in the last six games, came unassisted in the 71st minute and proved to be the game-winner as the Stars' defense kept the Vikings off the scoreboard for the team's fourth shutout of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Piotr Sliwa (Chicago, IL) picked up his third shutout victory of the season, logging five saves in the winning effort.

Dominican will return to the field on Saturday as they travel to Sheboygan, Wis., for a 1:00 p.m. game against Lakeland College in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play.
