Dominican Women's Soccer Beats Lakeland College

River Forest, IL - The Dominican University women's soccer team, riding a four-game winning streak, climbed over .500 for the first time in the 2007 season with a 2-1 win over Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI, on Saturday.

Freshman Kelsy Holloway (Cape Girardeau, MO) netted the game-winning goal for the Stars. The goal was Holloway's first collegiate-career goal, coming in the 34th minute of play to snap a 1-1 tie in the first half.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jacqui Lani (Green Bay, WI) picked up the win in goal for the Stars, logging five saves on the day.

The Stars return to NAC play on Wednesday, September 26 as they host Wisconsin Lutheran College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Dominican's West Campus Field. The Stars will then travel to Edgewood College on Saturday.
