The Dominican University women's soccer team trailed the MSOE Raiders 1-0 at the half on Saturday, but scored four goals in the second half to pick up a 4-1 win in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) action.
Freshman Liz Phipps (Bloomington, IL) tallied the Stars' first score of the game in the 53rd minute of play to knot the game at 1-1. The score was Phipps first of two goals in the game and she now has three goals on the season.
The game remained tied at one goal apiece into the 71st minute until Rosa Andreuccetti (Elmhurst, IL) found the back of the Raiders goal to put the Stars ahead 2-1. Phipps and freshman Nallely Arreola (Wheeling, IL) added insurance goals in the 75th and 84th minute respectively.
The win was the Stars tenth win of the season overall and improved the team's NAC record to 9-2-0 on the season with just one game remaining in the conference regular season. Dominican will return to the field on Tuesday, October 21 when they travel to Wheaton College to take on the Wheaton College Thunder. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
