River Forest, IL - Led by junior captain Anka Niemczewska's 8 aces, the DU Stars improve their conference record to 6-4, their overall record to 15-13, as well as secure their 4th place standing in the Northern Athletics Conference, at least for now. Defensively, junior captain and libero Megan Moore kept the Aurora offense under pressure with 21 digs in the 3 sets. Offensively, Darcy Kammeier and Evelyn Gamboa each tallied 10 kills.

Aurora kept the first set tight, leading the Stars 22-21, until the Stars were able to squeeze out a victory, 26-24, on a right side kill by Jessica Gallagher. Sets 2 and 3 were close midway through 25 points, but eventually the Stars pulled away for a 25-20 and 25-19 victory.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 25, the Stars travel to Lisle to take on their conference rivals Benedictine University. So far this season the teams have played twice, each winning a match. Play begins at 2pm
