A balanced defense and offense propels Dominican to its 7th conference win over Rockford as 4 players earn double digit kills and digs. By scores of 25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 25-14 the Stars finish their conference season at 7-5, finish tied for 4th in conference, end their regular season at 16-14, and are seeded 5th for the Northern Athletics Conference tournament.
The Stars offense was directed by freshman setter Kim Wakeman as the team hit .262 with 51 kills on the night. Rockford struggled with service reception as 3 DU players, Kellie VanVoorhis, Darcy Kammeier, and Megan Moore, scored 3 aces apiece. And lastly, the Stars out dug their opponents 66-60, though the teams tied in blocks at 4 each.
The Stars will play Benedictine University in the first round of the NAC tournament at 7:00pm in Lisle, Illinois on Monday, November 3rd.
