Oct. 4, 2008

Box Score

River Forest, IL - The Dominican University men's soccer team extended their winning streak to seven games on Saturday afternoon as they upended the Greenville College Panthers 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at Dominican University.

The Stars' Matt Kochanowski (Arlington Heights, IL) scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 24th minute as he collected the ball inside the six-yard box after the ball had cleared through a pack of players and tapped the ball in for his eighth score of the season.

Fifteen minutes later Kochanowski assisted on Dominican's second score of the game as he and Nico Toro (Chesterfield, MO) connected before finding Lionel Tovar (Cicero, IL) who beat the Greenville goalkeeper for his fourth goal of the season.

Dominican added a pair of second of second half goals with freshman Reed Parker (Overland Park, KS) netting his first career collegiate goal and senior Dan Humphreys (Geneva, IL) adding his second tally of the season before time expired.

The Stars now stand at 9-2-0 on the season and will return to the field on Wednesday as they travel to Milwaukee, Wis., to take on the Wisconsin Lutheran College in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) action.
