River Forest, IL - Despite winning the first set the Stars couldn't finish off Benedictine in the first round of the NAC Tournament. By scores of 25-20, 21-25, 15-25, 14-25 Benedictine advances to the tournament semifinals against conference champion and first seed Lakeland College.

Dominican statistically was lead by sophomore outside hitter Darcy Kammeier with 16 digs and by freshman middle blocker Kellie VanVoorhis with 9 kills. Freshman setter Kim Wakeman led the offense with 6 kills, a .400 kill percentage, and 28 assists. But the Stars couldn't keep their serve receive together, with 11 reception errors, to mount much offense in sets 3 and 4.

The volleyball team ended their season 16-15 and tied for 4th in the final 2008 conference standings. With their best season since 2004 and a young team returning the rising Stars have a bright future.
