The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) named Dominican University's Christine Paciero the 2009 NAC Volleyball Co-Coach of the Year with Lakeland College's Chad Schreiber. Paciero, in her second season as the Stars' head coach, guided the Stars to a share of the program's first regular season NAC championship with a 10-2 record in NAC play and then led the team all the way to the NAC Tournament Championship where they fell to Schreiber and the Muskies 3-2, in a match for the NAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
In two seasons, Paciero has amassed a 37-28 record in leading Dominican to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since the 2003 and 2004 campaigns. The Stars 21-13 mark in 2009 was the program's most successful season since going 26-13 in 2003.
In her brief tenure, Paciero has coached the 2008 NAC Freshman of the Year, 2009 NAC Defensive Player of the Year and seven all-conference athletes.
