The Dominican University men's tennis team, playing in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2011, fell to the eventual tournament champions, the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons, 5-0. With the loss, the Stars close the season at 8-7 overall for the first winning season in the program since 2010 and just the second since Dominican joined the NACC in 2006.
"We ran up against a very good Concordia Wisconsin team today," commented Troy Tonsil, the Stars' head coach. "Coach Anschutz has done a great job with his team all year. From the start, they played well and did not let up. We played well in spurts today but it was not enough to overcome their talent and scratch out a point. I am proud of the way we battled all year. Finishing fourth in conference and battling for a championship at the finals site is an accomplishment. This program has made great strides and we will look to capitalize in the upcoming years. Thank you to the seniors for making this a strong and productive year."
