Homecoming did not go as well as the Dominican University women's tennis team had hoped, falling to the Knox College Prairie Fire, 8-1.
 
In singles action, senior Alexis Hoskins notched her first singles win, winning in two sets, 6-3 and 6-3. Senior Maya Banks battled hard, falling in three sets.
 
"Despite the overall result, I thought we played hard and kept things interesting", said Stars' head coach Troy Tonsil. "It was great to see Alexis get her first singles win of the year. She has been working hard and it is good for her to experience some success."
 
The Stars return to the courts on September 28th when they take on Bryant and Stratton College at home in Forest Park for a 12:00pm start.
