Addison, IL – After nearly a year off from competition, the Dominican University men's golf team returned to the links to take on Elmhurst University in a duel at The Preserve at Oak Meadows. The Stars would fall to the Bluejays 310-334.

Tyler Stibal paced the Stars, shooting an 81 on the day. Making their debuts were freshmen Jimmy Cerven and Tyler Van Es who carded 84 and 83 respectively. Rounding out the scores for the Stars were Alex Gull (86) and Michael Cross (87).

"I am pleased with how we ended today's round. It has definitely been a while since we competed against someone other than ourselves", said Stars Head Coach Antonio Rivas. "I am confident with our showing as we head into the first weekend of the conference tournament. We are an extremely young team but there is a lot more room for improvement. A huge thank you to Coach Wyatt and the Elmhurst program for coming out and competing with us today".

The Stars will be back on the links this Sunday and Monday, as they travel to Kohler, Wisconsin to compete in rounds one and two of the NACC Tournament.
