Forest Park, IL – The Dominican University women's tennis team opened up the 2021 season with a home match-up with the Scarlett Hawks of Illinois Institute of Technology. Unfortunately, the Stars would fall 9-0. 
 
The Stars would lose all three doubles matches as the Scarlett Hawks would prove to be too much. 
 
In singles action, Julia Hochstatter would fall in 6-0 and 6-1 respectively. Cali Carlson would battle her in match as well but could not edge out her match-up and fall 6-0 and 6-2.
 
Both tennis programs are back in action next Saturday as they look to battle the MSOE Raiders at home.
