Jake Miranda is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Dominican University men's golf program. He brings with him years of experience in golf, both as a student and a teacher. He has worked in conjunction with head coach Tom Hemstreet since 2009 with The First Tee Program, an international youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. Additionally, Miranda is a member of Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA), having participated in tournaments since moving to the Chicagoland area in September 2009.
His role with the men's golf team will be in the area of strength, conditioning and the mental (psychology) apsect of the game during competition.
Miranda has his personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is a USA Boxing Amateur Boxer and USA Boxing Ameteur Boxing coach. His experience as a trainer and a boxer will allow for sports specific strength and conditioning routines that will allow players to maximize their game.
