Britt Garton Pisto begins as the Assistant Cross Country coach this fall, 2009. Pisto joins the team with collegiate running experience as well as a high school coaching background.

As a distance runner for Kent State University's cross country and track programs, she honed her endurance skills and has continued running after college primarily competing in road races. Most recently, she completed the 2005 Chicago Marathon and the 2008 Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN.

Pisto was the assistant high school cross country and track coach for three seasons at Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN before becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa. Upon her return to the United States, she worked in program areas of youth leadership development with the University of Minnesota and University of Wisconsin Extension.

Pisto lives in Villa Park, Illinois with her husband Rob, and two daughters, Milana and Chloe.
