Dominican University Athletics

Joe Segreti has been a familiar face in the Dominican University tennis programs, dating back to his playing days from 2005-2007.   Since then Segreti has been involved in the programs in every facet, alum, assistant coach and head coach.  Segreti took over the reins of the men’s tennis program in 2011, guiding the Stars to a 5-4 record and fifth place finish in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC).  Then in the summer of 2012, Segreti was asked to assume the role of head women’s tennis coach in addition to his head coach responsibilities with the men.

Segreti earned his Bachelor of Arts in English along with a secondary education teaching certificate from Dominican University in May 2007 and is currently an English teacher in the Chicago Public Schools system.

While a student at Dominican, Segreti played on the men's tennis team for two seasons, including the 2007 when he served as a team co-captain and was named the team's Most Improved Player.

In addition to his playing experience, Segreti has been a youth and adult tennis instructor for the Park District of Oak Park, giving private lessons in the area for nearly five years.
