The Dominican University volleyball squad was haunted by errors in a three-set (25-20, 25-19, 25-17) loss at the hands of the Marian University Sabres on Saturday afternoon. The Stars committed 46 errors, including 22 hitting errors and nine service errors, to fall to 17-6 on the season and 7-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC).
The Stars posted a season-low .053 hitting percentage with 28 kills on 113 total attacks while committing 22 errors. Seniors
Darcy Kammeier (Kirkwood, Mo.) and
Kasey Kiepura (Vernon Hills, Ill.), both amongst the team-leaders in kills for the Stars, combined for just seven kills on 45 attacks while committing ten errors.
Dominican will enjoy an eleven-day break from game action, returning to the courts on Wednesday, October 20, when the Stars will host the University of Chicago Maroons for a 7:00 p.m. match in the Igini Sports Forum.
