Becky Christofferson (Summit, S.D.) poured in a season-high 33 points on 13-for-17 shooting from the field to lead Dominican to a 73-68 win over the Lakeland College Muskies in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) women’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon, extending the Stars’ win streak to six games.
Christofferson broke a 66-66 tie with 1:21 remaining connecting on a jumper to put the Stars ahead by two. After a stop and a three by the Stars’

Sarah Budz (Orland Park, Ill.) sealed the game at the line, connecting on a pair of free throws with 21 seconds remaining and put the Stars ahead 73-66.
Christofferson, the top three-point shooter in the NAC, connected on 5-of-9 attempts from long range and grabbed seven rebounds in 31 minutes of work while Budz logged her first double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
The Stars shot 49.2 percent from the field (30-61) while holding the Muskies to 31.9 percent shooting (23-72).
Dominican, now 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in the NAC, returns to action on Tuesday, traveling to Rockford College to take on the Regents.
