Dominican University sophomore forward Elizabeth Ficek  (Bloomington, Ill.) broke a scoreless tie in the 87th minute to lift the Stars to a 1-0 win over the Webster University Gorlocks on Saturday afternoon.  It was Ficek's first tally of the season, improving the Stars to 1-1-0 on the season.

Junior goalkeeper Megan Schulz (Redford, Mich.) picked up the shutout in goal.

Dominican will travel to Illinois Wesleyan University on Monday for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.  The Stars will then host the North Park University Vikings on Thursday for the Stars' 2010 home opener.
