Box Score Jennifer Russ (Downers Grove, Ill.) provided all the offense Dominican needed as the Stars’ women’s soccer team edged the MSOE Raiders 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, with Dominican’s Megan Schulz (Redford, Mich.) posting her sixth shutout of the season.
 
Russ scored the game’s lone goal in the 61^st minute as Jessica Perri (Dana Point, Calif.) led the junior midfielder behind the Raiders’ defense and Russ placed a shot into the back of the MSOE goal for her first goal of the season.
 
Schulz made three saves on the afternoon, lowering her goals against average to 0.83, as the Stars outshot the Raiders 15-8.
 
Dominican now stands at 9-5-1 on the season and 7-1-1 in NAC play.  On Tuesday, the Stars will host the Aurora University Spartans, the NAC frontrunner, for a 3:00 p.m. tilt on West Campus Field.  Dominican will then close out the home regular season next Saturday against the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons.
