Jennifer Russ’s (Downers Grove, Ill.) shot off the cross bar earlier in the second overtime period, putting eight shots on frame compared to five shots on goal for the Cougars.

Megan Schulz (Redford, Mich.) logged five saves on the afternoon to pick up her fourth shutout of the season and lower her goals against average to 0.97 in 1,100 minutes in goal this season.
The Stars will travel to Sheboygan, Wis., on Saturday to take on the Lakeland College Muskies in NAC play. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
