Box Score The Dominican University women’s soccer team moved to 2-3-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) with a scoreless tie against the Edgewood College Eagles in Madison, Wis., on Saturday.
Megan Schulz (Redford, Mich.) was forced to make just two saves in goal for the Stars, with both coming in the overtime periods.
“Megan came up big for us,” commented Ellen Brown, the Stars’ first-year head coach. “She played with confident hands, snagging a number of crosses before they could become chances for Edgewood.”
Edgewood was credited with 12 shots while the Stars were tagged with three, but the Dominican defense allowed just two shots to make their way to Schulz.
Dominican will travel to Alverno College on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Inferno in NAC action. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. in Milwaukee, Wis.
