Box Score The Dominican University women’s soccer team dropped its third straight match on Wednesday afternoon, falling 2-0 to the University of Dubuque Spartans in River Forest.  The Stars had a pair of late chances but Tiffany Duncan, the Spartans’ goalkeeper, got a hand on Ashley Meyer’s (Evanston, Ill.) shot in the 84^th minute and then Kelly Gerwitz (Florissant, Mo.) shot wide of the goal in the 85^th minute.

Dominican’s defense held steady for most of the match, surrendering a pair of two minutes apart in the 73^rd and 75^th minutes.

The Spartans outshot the Stars 13-10, with Dubuque putting six shots on frame compared to five shots on goals for Dominican.

Dominican, now 0-3-0 on the year, will return to play on Saturday, hosting the Monmouth College Fighting Scots for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff on the Stars’ West Campus Field.
