Box Score The Dominican University women’s volleyball team stumbled in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play for the first time in almost a month, falling to the Benedictine University Eagles 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-19, 25-22) on Saturday night.
The Stars, who hit .363 on Friday night, managed just a .092 attack percentage, committing 34 errors with 49 kills on 163 attacks.
Jacy Lawrence (St. Louis, Mo.) managed a match-high 15 kills but hit nearly .200 points below her season percentage as she committed a season-high 12 errors on 49 swings.
Freshman
Caitlen Foote (Dexter, Mich.) chipped in ten kills and added 15 digs for her seventh double-double of the season.
The Eagles, hitting .201 on the night, were led by Nicole Adams’s 13 kills.
The loss drops the Stars to 22-7 on the season and into third place in the NAC standings at 9-2 on the season. Dominican will close out the 2012 regular season on Wednesday night, hosting the Rockford College Regents for a 7:00 p.m. match in the Igini Sports Forum.
