Box Score The Dominican University women’s soccer team took to the field in Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) play on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Edgewood College Eagles 2-0.
The Eagles tallied two goals four minutes apart in the first half before holding on for the win. Emily Berns got Edgewood on the board in the 23
rd minute, beating two defenders before beating Dominican’s
Allie Wagner (Sheboygan, Wis.) to the far post. Then in the 27
th minute, Elaine Gerry added her conference-leading 11
th goal of the season as she beat Wagner.
Playing the first 45 minutes, Wagner took the loss for the Stars’ saving four of the nine shots she faced but giving up both goals.
Sara Stepanovich (Des Plaines, Ill.) took over in goal in the second half, logging two saves.
Dominican managed just five shots, two coming off the foot of freshman
Taylor Adler (Shorewood, Ill.) including the Stars’ lone shot on goal.
