Box Score The Dominican University women's volleyball team flexed its muscles on Tuesday night, rolling to a three-set victory (25-10, 25-9, 25-15) over the Alverno College Inferno in Milwaukee on Tuesday night.
The Stars, the preseason favorite to win the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC), won with offense and defense, posting a .300 attack percentage while totaling nine blocks and holding the Inferno to a -.111 hitting percentage.
Caitlen Foote (Dexter, Mich.) and
Jacy Lawrence (St. Louis, Mo.) led the way offensively, with six and five kills respectively while
Julie Schulenburg (Springfield, Ill.) and
Alyssa Davis (Bloomington, Ill.) combined for nine total blocks.
The win was the 12th consecutive victory for Dominican, improving the Stars to 14-2 overall and 4-0 in the NAC. Dominican returns to conference action on Friday night, hosting the Edgewood College Eagles in a rematch of the 2011 NAC Tournament Championship.
