Box Score The Dominican University women's volleyball team swept the MSOE Raiders on Saturday evening, 25-16, 25-7, 25-20, to move to 8-1 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play. The Stars have won 15 consecutive sets against NACC opponents since dropping a five-set match at Edgewood College on October 5.
The Stars accurate offensive attack was on full display as Dominican hit at a .363 clip led by
Claire Dezelski's (Northville, Mich.) 14 kills on 23 total swings. Dezelski posted a .565 hitting percentage with just one error.
Carri Chambers (Winnebago, Ill.) knocked down 11 kills of her own while
Tessa Griparis (Shorewood, Ill.) and
Maddi Zanoni (Hudsonville, Mich.) added seven and six kills respectively.
Defensively, the Stars logged 48 digs led by
Cheyanne Kelly (Kalamazoo, Mich.) who collected a match-high 13 digs.
The Stars have now won five straight matches and stand at 19-9 in the season. Dominican will be back in action on Wednesday night as the Benedictine University Eagles travel to River Forest to square off against the Stars.
