Box Score The Dominican University women’s soccer team picked up a 4-0 shutout victory over the Alverno College Inferno in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action on Saturday afternoon.
 
Lead Tednes notched a pair of goals for the Stars, including what proved to be the game-winner in the third minute of play.  Kelly Petty (Crystal Lake, Ill.) added a penalty kick goal in the 56^th minute and Gina Mazzetta capped Dominican’s scoring with a breakaway goal in the 88^th minute.
 
Vanessa Gonzalez (Chicago, Ill.) picked up the shutout, her second of the season, making two saves while facing seven shots as Dominican doubled up the Inferno in shots, 14-7.  Over the last three matches, Gonzalez has given up just one goal with the Stars going 2-1-0.
 
The Stars will close out the 2013 season on Wednesday, hosting their Division Street rival, the Concordia Chicago Cougars for a 3:00 p.m. match on West Campus Field.
