Box Score The Dominican University women's volleyball team cruised past the Marian University Sabres 25-18, 25-18, 25-15 on Friday evening in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action in Fond du Lac, Wis.
Carri Chambers (Winnebago, Ill.) and
Claire Dezelski (Northville, Mich.) shared match-high honors as they led the Stars with 13 kills apiece. Dezelski finished the match with a .423 hitting percentage, committing just two errors on 26 attacks while Chambers added three aces and a pair of block assists for a total of 17.0 points on the night.
Defensively,
Cheyanne Kelly (Kalamazoo, Mich.) led the Stars with 14 digs while Dominican tallied 11 total blocks.
Maddi Zanoni (Hudsonville, Mich.),
Alyssa Davis (Bloomington, Ill.) and
Tessa Griparis (Shorewood, Ill.) each got in on four blocks with Zanoni posting two solo blocks while Davis and Griparis each had one solo block and three block assists.
The win pushes the Stars to 14-8 overall and 3-0 in NACC play. Dominican will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, traveling to Madison, Wis., to take on the Edgewood College Eagles. The match is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start at Edgewood's Edgedome.
