The Dominican University women's volleyball team won the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's (NACC) automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament on Saturday and on Monday found out their draw, matching up with the host Elmhurst College Bluejays in the Elmhurst, Illinois, Regional.

The Stars (24-9) and Bluejays (35-4), ranked fifth in the most recent AVCA National Top 25 poll, will meet at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday in the last of four games to be played in the opening round at Elmhurst. The winner advances to play at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night at Elmhurst and the Regional Championship match will take place on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. All games will be played at Elmhurst's R.A. Dominican and Elmhurst, the winner of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), met earlier in the season with the Bluejays sweeping the Stars in River Forest, 25-15, 25-21, 25-19. The Stars have now won ten straight, including eight three-set victories.

The Stars are making their third appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament, with all their appearances coming since 2010. In 2010, the Stars fell to the UW-Platteville Pioneers in three sets in the opening round after winning the NACC Tournament Championship. Last year, Dominican became the first NACC team to earn an at-large bid to the National Tournament, going 3-4 against AVCA Top 25 opponents before falling to the St. Benedict Blazers in the NCAA opening round.

Tickets to the tournament will be available at the door and are $6 for general admission and $4 for students and senior citizens.
