The Dominican University women's basketball team fell to the Alverno College Inferno, 63-51, on Tuesday night in Milwaukee in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) action.

The Stars committed a season-low 11 turnovers but managed to shoot just 28-percent from the field, including going 2-for-19 from three-point range.

Sidney Montano (Bensenville, Ill.) paced the Stars with a career-high 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field and going a perfect 4-for-4 at the foul line. Montano has scored in double-figures in three of the Stars' last six games.Â
Shamia Clark (Rock Island, Ill.) added 15 points off the bench for Dominican in the losing effort while the rest of the team managed just 18 points on seven field goals.

The loss drops Dominican to 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in the NACC. The Stars will host the MSOE Raiders on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in the Igini Sports Forum.
