Box Score The Dominican University women's soccer team fell to the Lake Forest Foresters, 3-2 on Tuesday evening in the Stars' final non-conference tune-up prior to opening Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference NACC) play on Saturday.

The Stars got on the board first, taking an early lead as
Kelly Gerwitz (Florissant, Mo.) tallied her second goal of the season in the 16
th minute.

Lake Forest roared back, netting three unanswered goals to open a 3-1 lead. The Foresters first goal came in the 31
st minute as Michelle Greeneway netted her first of two goals in the game to even the score at the half.Â

In the 55
th minute, Greeneway got on the end of Sam Hillis's corner kick service, sending a header into the back of the Stars goal and giving the Foresters their first lead of the evening.

Lake Forest netted what proved to be the game-winner in the 75
th minute as Holly Lesperance scored her fourth goal of the season.

The Stars eventually found the back the net again as
Leah Tednes (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) scored in the 89
th minute with
Kelli Iovino (Arlington Heights, Ill.) and
Taylor Adler (Shorewood, Ill.) picking up assists on the play.

The loss drops Dominican to 3-3 on the season, losing three straight after opening the season on a three-match winning streak. The Stars will be on the road on Saturday, traveling to Mequon, Wisconsin, to take on the Concordia Wisconsin Falcons in NACC action. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
