The Dominican University men's basketball team got another solid outing from
Tim Robertson (Chicago, Ill.) as the freshman followed up a 31-point career effort on Tuesday with 22 points against the Benedictine University Eagles but the Stars fell to the Eagles 84-61 on Thursday night in the Igini Sports Forum.
Benedictine shot a blistering 63-percent (29-46) from the field in leading the Stars wire-to-wire. The Eagles also converted on 22 of 24 attempts from the foul line while Dominican went to the free throw line 14 times, converting on ten.
As a team, Dominican shot better than 44-percent from the field (24-54) with Robertson going 9-for-16 from the field and the rest of the team shooting 15-for-38.
The Stars, now 1-16 on the season and 1-11 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC), have a weekend off before returning to action next Wednesday when Dominican travels to Aurora University to take on the Spartans. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
