The Dominican University women's basketball team hit the road on Friday, traveling to Richmond, Indiana, for a pair of games in the Quaker Classic. On Friday night, the Stars dropped a 79-62 game to the host Earlham College Quakers.
Dominican fell behind by 15 points in the first quarter before working to erase the deficit in the second quarter before the Quakers outscored the Stars 40-29 over the final two quarters.
Claudia DeNigris (Addison, Ill.) scored a team-high 15 points on 5-for-22 shooting from the field, going 3-for-11 from three point range, while
Jasmyn Hardin (Cincinnati, Ohio) completed her second double-double in as many games with ten points and 13 rebounds.
The Stars will return to action in the Quaker Classic on Saturday, taking on the Olivet College Comets at 1:00 p.m. ET.
