Lauren Zuro (Elmwood Park, Ill.) scored a pair of goals and struck the crossbar with another shot to lead the Stars to a 5-1 win in preseason action over the visiting Lawrence University Vikings on Saturday afternoon.

Kelli Iovino (Arlington Heights, Ill.) scored the Stars first goal of the day while Ashly Torres (Franklin Park, Ill.) was credited with the game-winner with Zuro picking up an assist on the play.  Kaitlyn Tripp (Imperial, Mo.) capped off the Stars' scoring in their first action of the season.

"It was nice to play outside competition this early into our pre-season," commented second-year head coach Carlos Carrillo. "It gives us an opportunity to see how we are developing and where we are in relation to game fitness.  I was pleased with our performance overall and excited about how much better we can be."
