The Dominican University women's volleyball team took to the court on Wednesday night for the Stars' only preseason scrimmage of the 2015 season, dropping a best of three match to the visiting Purdue University Calument Peregrines 2-1 (27-25, 22-25, 25-21).

The Stars, the preseason favorites to win their second straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) championship, will open the 2015 regular season on Tuesday, September 1, when they head to Decatur, Illinois, to take on the Greenville College Panthers and Millikin University Big Blue in a tri-match at Millikin.
