The River Forest Rivalry Series hosted by Northwestern Mutual picked back up on Saturday afternoon with the Dominican University women's basketball team visiting the Concordia University Chicago Cougars in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) game the Stars dropped 67-45.

Dominican trailed just 34-24 at the break and
Timiya Ray scored the first two points of the third quarter as the Stars angled the lead down to eight, 34-26, before Concordia Chicago went on an 11-0 run to open a 19-point lead and never looked back.

The Stars paced by
Claudia DeNigris's second career double-double, 11 points and 11 rebounds, managed to shoot just 22-percent from the field and turned the ball over 28 times. Ray finished with ten points on 4-for-9 shooting despite being limited to just ten minutes in the first half and 22 minutes total with foul trouble.

For the Cougars, Lauren Orr led the way with a game-high 15 points while Courtney Lofink added 12 points and seven assists.

Dominican, now 1-7 on the season, returns to action on Monday, hosting the Rockford University Regents for a 5:00 p.m. NACC contest in the Igini Sports Forum.
