The Dominican University women's basketball team fell, 75-41, to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors on Saturday evening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to round out the Stars' 2015-2016 season. In the loss, Dominican's
Allie Tapanes (Winfield, Ill.) notched her 1,000
th career point, knocking down a jumper midway through the first period.
Tapanes is just the third player to reach the career milestone at Dominican since the Stars joined the NCAA Division III ranks in 2000. The West Chicago native finishes her career as the Stars' all-time leader in three point field goals, connecting on 195 three pointers over 95 games throughout her four-year career.
"Congrats to Allie on her four-year career," commented
Gabby Johnson, the Stars' head coach, when asked about her lone senior. "To cap your career with the 1,000-point milestone is something special that most collegiate players will never have the chance to do."
For the game, Wisconsin Lutheran led the entire way behind a game-high 14 points from Caitlin Knueppel.

Jasmyn Hardin (Cincinnati, Ohio) capped the season with her 13
th double-double of the year, logging 12 points and 12 rebounds while freshman
Rhetta Bates (Woodstock, Ill.) added 11 points on 5-for-9 shooting. Tapanes finished with seven points on 3-for-7 shooting in 29 minutes.
