The Dominican University men's basketball team shot a season-low 33.3 percent on Tuesday night, falling to the 19
th-ranked Benedictine University Eagles, 79-54, at the Rice Center in Lisle, Illinois.

The Stars held an early 5-4 lead but a pair of 11-0 runs by Benedictine gave the Eagles a 32-11 lead with 6:15 to play in the first half. The Benedictine lead grew to 43-18 at the half before the Stars'
Josh Mayberry scored the first seven points of the second half to trim the lead to 18, 43-25, and force a Benedictine timeout. The Eagles regrouped and scored the next six to balloon the lead back to 24 and the Stars could not cut it under 20 points the rest of the way.

Mayberry led three in double-figures for the Stars with 11 points, shooting just 33 percent from the field (5-for-15). Junior

Ben Walker added ten points apiece. For Walker, it was his second double-figure performance in the last three games after scoring just 24 points through the first 12 games of the season.

For Benedictine, Adam Reynolds led the way with 22 points on 11-for-16 shooting.

After five games over the last 11 days, Dominican can finally enjoy some rest before returning to the court on Saturday to host the Edgewood College Eagles at the Igini Sports Forum. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
