The Dominican University men's volleyball team rolled to its sixth straight win on Saturday morning, rolling over the Fontbonne University Griffins in three sets (25-19, 25-14, 25-12) behind an attack that hit a blistering .408 with 42 kills on 76 swings while committing just 11 errors.

"Today was a great team effort," said Doug Burchett, Dominican University's assistant coach. "We were able to get a lot of guys some playing time and there was no drop off in our level of play. We were great again in the middle, connecting on 17 kills on just 21 swings."

Alex Coyne and
Nidhin Thomas shared setting responsibilities with Coyne collecting 27 assists over the first two sets while Thomas ran the offense to a .435 attack percentage in the third set while dishing out ten assists.

In total, 13 different players logged kills for the Stars, paced by
Mason Solbrig,
Adam Eboli and
Zach Sinn who knocked down six kills apiece. Solbring was a perfect 6-for-6 while Eboli totaled six kills on seven swings and Sinn collected six kills on eight swings.Â
Charlie Spry and
Michal Kawa logged five kills apiece while
Nick Timreck finished with four kills.

Defensively,
Ethan Klosak collected a team-high seven digs while Timreck posted four block assists and the net.

The Stars, now 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL), will travel to Naperville, Illinois, on Tuesday to face the North Central College Cardinals. The match is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.
