The Dominican University men's basketball team dropped their second straight Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) contest, falling to the Benedictine University Eagles 86-57 on Saturday evening at the Igini Sports Forum.
Â
The Stars found themselves falling behind early for the second straight contest, trailing 25-8 ten minutes in, a deficit Dominican could not overcome.
Â
"We are going through a tough time right now as we struggle to find some consistency," said Mark White, the Stars' head men's basketball coach. "Another slow start really hurt us and forced us to try to play catch up. We have several players adjusting to new roles in the program and it is going to take some time to get comfortable. In the meantime, we need to regroup and find a way to beat Greenville on Tuesday night."
Â
Isaac Moore led the Stars with ten points as Dominican shot 21-for-57 from the field, including 8-for-26 from three.
Â
For the Eagles, Eric Grygo led four in double-figures with a game-high 18 points on 8-for-9 shooting.
Â
Dominican, now 1-5 on the season and 1-2 NACC play, return to action on Tuesday, hosting the Greenville University Panthers for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff at the Igini Sports Forum.
