The Dominican University men's volleyball team stumbled for the first time in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play, falling to the Benedictine University Eagles in four sets (25-20, 18-25, 25-17, 25-14). The loss drops the #6 Stars to 15-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.
Dominican committed 49 errors in the loss, including 26 hitting errors and 19 service errors, while Benedictine committed just 13 hitting errors and 13 service errors.
Ethan Klosak had a team-high 11 kills for Dominican on 32 swings while
Nick Timreck added nine kills and
Luke Spicer and
Jake Sidner knocked down eight kills each. As a team, the Stars hit .164 in the losing effort with
Jack McGuire dishing out 28 assists and
Evan Ruffner adding ten.
For the Eagles, Elijah Medlock knocked down a match-high 15 kills on 42 swings.
Dominican will look to get back on track next Friday, March 16, traveling to Aurora University for a tri-match with the Spartans and Kean University Cougars.
