The Dominican University men's basketball team dropped their eighth straight on Tuesday night, falling to the visiting Edgewood College Eagles, 89-49, at the Igini Sports Forum. The loss drops the Stars to 2-14 on the season and 2-9 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play.
The Stars shot just 27-percent in the loss, connecting on just 17 of 61 shots from the field, including just three of 22 attempts from three-point range.
Derek Steck came off the Stars' bench to score a team-high nine points in just 14 minutes of work.
For the Eagles, Ben Seefeld led the way with 25 points on 12-for-14 shooting while Jake Negus and Avery Lyons added 19 and 18 points respectively. The trio of Eagles combined to shoot 24-for-31 from the field, leading Edgewood to a 31-for-56 shooting night.
Dominican will look to get back on track on Saturday, traveling up to Wisconsin Lutheran College to meet the Warriors. Tipoff is slated for 3:00 p.m. at WLC's REX Complex.
