On Tuesday afternoon, the NCAA announced a change to Dominican University's NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship first round match up with the University of Chicago Maroons on Friday at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Originally scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. EST kickoff, the match will now start at 2:30 p.m. EST (1:30 p.m. CST) immediately followed by the Hope College-Ohio Wesleyan match with the winners advancing to square off on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in Holland.
Dominican, winners of the 2019 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Tournament, are making their 16
th appearance all-time in the NCAA Division III national tournament posting a 15-14-3 all-time record in the national tournament. The Stars first became eligible for NCAA postseason in 2002, making the tournament for 13 straight season from 2002-2014. After a two-year hiatus from the national tournament, Dominican returned to the national stage in 2016 and have seen the postseason now in three straight seasons, including an appearance in the second round last season after upending the Gustavus Adolphus College Gusties 2-0 before getting edged by Luther College 2-1.
