The Dominican University softball team dropped both ends of a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) doubleheader on Friday evening at Marian University, falling to the Sabres 9-1 in game one before dropping the nightcap, 8-0. The sweep drops the Stars to 11-9 overall and 2-2 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC).
Dominican's offense managed just five hits all day, picking up four hits in game one before collecting just one hit in game two.

Hannah Gordon,
Cat Klostermann and
Katie Fredrick all tallied one hit apiece. Gordon's single produced the Stars' lone run of the day, scoring Curran in the top of the fourth of game one after Curran had singled to start the inning.
Klostermann took the loss in the circle in game one, surrendering four runs on four hits and four walks over 1.1 innings of work. The loss drops the junior to 5-6 on the season while
Allyson Dilday suffered just her second loss of the season in game two. The rookie was tagged with eight runs on nine hits and six walks over 4.2 innings of work to fall to 4-2 on the season.
Dominican is slated to be back in action on Sunday, traveling to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to take on the Lakeland College Muskies in a two-game NACC series. The conference twin bill is slated for a noon first pitch.
